ADVICE IF YOU ARE APPLYING FOR A JOB VIA E-MAIL:
- Use proper grammar. i s2g if i see one more email that doesn't even try i'm gonna
- Attach your resume, unless the ad specifically says to C/P it into the body of the email. Just ... attach it, OK?
- WRITE SOMETHING IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL. This is the most important thing!!!!!!!!!!!! It doesn't have to be a lot, just a little bit about why you're interested in the position, and maybe point out a few things that make you qualified. Maybe point out a specific position you once held, or personal experience that didn't fit on your resume but that's relevant anyway?
- DO NOT LEAVE THE BODY OF THE EMAIL BLANK
- DO NOT JUST WRITE "heres my resume" AND NOTHING ELSE
- WRITE SOMETHING FO R THE LOVE OF GOD
- or you can attach a cover letter but it's generally preferable to put that shit in the body of the email, imo, UNLESS the ad SPECIFICALLY states they want the cover letter attached instead
- include your name. just in case. like, if you've got a weird nickname like "IT SHALL BE DONE" in your 'from' line, and don't include your name, then ...? are you a ghost. what are you. do not do this. just put your name in there.
- including your phone number in the body of the email is cool. including only your phone number, and no other text, is not. what the fuck
