The first few days Dean had watched it bleed from under the plastic. It seemed as if he wanted that back now, to tend to his little brother’s wounds, and to relish in them. To relish in the soft kind of pain, not caused by conflict and mistakes, but by foresight. A regular person kind of pain.

It had long since fully healed, but with how hard Dean pressed, it seemed like he was determined to change that.

Summary:   Even in the midst of discovering the supernatural was real and hunting down a ghost at Sandover Bridge & Iron, Sam Wesson couldn't ignore his attraction to Dean Smith, the new director of sales and marketing. They give into their feelings after dispatching the angry spirit, and everything seems to be looking up as they plan their new lives together. Until a douchebag angel intervenes, and Sam and Dean get their true memories back . . .

The first time I saw him was at the end of my third week at Sandover Bridge & Iron.  It was late, well past the usual end of my shift, and I was heading down from one of the upper levels after clearing a mess of viruses (and deleting the illicit porn stash) from one of the VP’s laptop and was looking forward to finally going home.  He got on the elevator at the twenty-second floor, his eyes focused on his phone.

My initial reaction was that this had to be one of the hottest guys I’d ever seen.  He had short dark gold hair, big green eyes, ridiculously long lashes, full pouty lips, finely drawn features, fair freckled skin, and a tall, broad-shouldered frame.  The well-made suit, high-end smartphone, and presumable office location so high up suggested that he was another executive, though not one I’d been summoned to fix an inane technical problem for yet.

The next thing I noticed was that he seemed familiar somehow.  I didn’t know his name or his position, and I was fairly certain that we hadn’t met before now, either here at work or somewhere else.  I couldn’t shake the strong sense of déjà vu, almost like some sort of connection, I felt as I watched him however.

Dean dies in the shower, he dies in the street, he dies at the Mystery Spot, and—worse somehow than anywhere else—he dies behind Sam’s eyelids over and over and over. Sam wonders if this will be his life until he dies, too. He can feel it coming on slow, his own demise creeping closer as a death by a thousand cuts while his brother accumulates tombstone after tombstone in the graveyard of his mind.

This dream-state of living on pause and rewind leads to some interesting avenues of thought that Sam doesn’t mean to travel, but after a certain number of unrelenting Tuesdays, they just become inevitable. If Dean dies every day—if his memories are wiped, or if they never happen at all—what could Sam get away with, if he wanted to? Could he dare to find out?

My contribution to Every Time We Touch: A First-Time Wincest Fest.

Set in 15x19, Inherit The Earth. Sam and Dean’s very long overdue first kiss. Heavy on the angst with throwbacks to old eps.

Summary: “Dean, what I said before,” Sam says some time later, “about us writing our own story…” he lifts his head to look Dean in the eye again, “we really could do anything we want, now. We’ve more than earned it.”

“You’re damn right we’ve earned it!” Dean replies, a combination of bitterness and sadness sweeping through him at the thought of some of the shit they’ve had to deal with, “What did you have in mind?” he asks, his stomach twisting as he does because even though he’s pretty certain that Sam meant what he said about being good with their life, there’s still that fear in the back of his mind that his brother will realise he wants to give this up - give Dean up - and try again for the white picket fence.“I want…” Sam starts, huffing out a sigh and shaking his head. He stares at the hand rested on Dean’s chest for what feels like forever, jaw clenching and unclenching like he’s not sure whether what he wants to say should be said. Eventually he licks his lips, squares his shoulders and looks back up, his face open and earnest, “I want us to be together, Dean.”

Welcome to Every Time We Touch, an event that celebrates the hundreds of possible ways Sam and Dean Winchester could get together! In this event, we’ll try to create a first-time Wincest fic or artwork for as many episodes of Supernatural as we can. Episode sign-ups open today (January 24, 2021, Dean’s birthday), and the deadline for your works is May 2 (Sam’s birthday).

This event works like a prompt fest and takes place on AO3. The “prompts” are the 327 episodes of Supernatural. You sign up by claiming one or several prompts (episodes), which you commit to filling by claiming them. Leave a comment on the episode you want on this spreadsheet; make sure you include your AO3 username so we can verify that the fill matches the sign-up. Completed works should be posted in the AO3 collection for this event. You are welcome to link and share elsewhere as well, of course. The episode you created for should be identified in the tags or notes of your work.

Fic should be a minimum of 500 words, but beyond that it can be as long as you like. Art should be at minimum a finished sketch and should have a visible connection to the episode you chose.
