Aerith spends the whole night crying and leon spends the whole night comforting her and it’s so good it’s soooooooooo good

I’ve been sitting on this scene for a while, under foolish assumptions it’d be better to let it wait until I wrote FtP’s take of FF8. Well, since I now know that’s not happening anytime soon (if at all), it seemed silly to sit on this any longer!

So here’s a snapshot from FF8, in which the gang meets the President of Esthar, and Leon and Aerith deal with some feelings they have about the man.

leon very specifically tells riku (after riku nearly strangles sora because shad through sora’s mouth brought up Her) “it’s ok. i overreacted too.”

while it’s Still Canon (has to still be canon) that shad did hit at leon with “rinoa hasn’t contacted you in two years she said that was sorceress trainig but come on two years? that’s a long ass time. she’s probably forgotten all about you!”

something leon definitely would have “overreacted” at
