Apartment 23
Charlie is the type of person who doesn't need much to be content with his surrounding. He only needs few essentials in his apartment; bed, kitchen, bathroom and laptop. He's not that particular, so to speak. So it didn't take him long to find a room that meets rather low standard.
The apartment he rented has only one room and a bathroom. He brought the love of his life, the computers and electronic devices, and only clothes to NYC. So the place looked very empty at first. After few weeks, he bought a bed that has drawer beneath it, a desk and a chair, dishes and stuff and settled in quite nicely. Usually, his place stays in the neatly organized state for few days. But the entropy accumulates and because he doesn't have high expectation on living condition, his room tends to get messy until one day he finally decides to clean it all up.
Some of the quirks of Charlie's room is that he has more than one computer. He has the main desktop, hooked up to three different monitors, along with two laptops-- one for outdoor work and the other for the hacking-- and the iPad which is his more personal device. Then there's the no-shoes policy of the room. In Korea-- along with other Asian countries-- people take off the shoes when they enter the house. Naturally, it felt really weird for Charlie to walk around the room with shoes on.
