maybe she's still in shock but the urge to distract herself tonight was strong. rory found herself tipsy already, and desperate to get her hands on a blunt. "you know..." rory mused out loud when she realized she wasn't alone, a mischievous grin in her eye. "this is probably the only time they'll let you jump off the cliffs during nighttime. you think you can do it?" she challenged.

gabriela 'gabby' martinez was well-known to the people of grimmvale as the personification of sunlight. whether she was walking around town with her adopted dogs, volunteering at the animal shelter, working as a waitress / server, or working as the receptionist at the autoshop, she always had a smile on her face, and a good word for everyone. it was with great sadness when the news spread around town like wildfire that it was her who got brutally murdered last week. not much is known other than how pieces of her were found in different areas of town, almost like a scavenger hunt for psychopaths, on the morning of july 7th, but there have been no leads, or at least none that the public have been made aware of. the town's mayor has issued a memorial bonfire in her honor, and everyone in town is encouraged to attend. details are as follows: WE ARE NOW OPEN FOR IN CHARACTER INTERACTIONS!

it didn't sit right with him, how someone so nice, someone he had dated could just die like that, be found in pieces and yet no one had any clue what happened. there had to be something, and it frustrated him that there wasn't anything to be done other than to continue life as usual. tonight was supposed to be a celebration of gabby's life, but he found himself sulking, drinking from his flask in the near darkness, lost in thought for a moment before realizing he wasn't alone.
