– “HEY,” ALLIE PLACES HER HEAD IN HER HANDS, in some sort of attempt to hide from the world. she shuts her eyes for a moment, takes a deep breath. “ would you mind being a little quieter ? sorry, i just...my head’s gonna explode. ” she has NEVER experienced a hangover like this before, her head freakin’ kills. she’s not even sure what to do – was there food you should eat or ...some sort of cure ? 

– “DON’T GET ME WRONG IT’S –” LOUIS SNEEZES INTO HIS ELBOW. “ gorgeous out ! but am i the only one getting horrible allergies from all this pollen ? ” he’s lucky he’s outgrown his asthma for the most part, but a flower festival is a LOT. “ seriously – it’s just me out here suffering ? ” 

"I'd put myself and my ex on a plane instead of driving through France, get as far and far away as we can. I'd gotten enough money to get away."

She picks up the menu across from her, looking over it for a few seconds. “Okay, while we have a few moments, we need to go over our cover story.” She looks across the booth at Roxy before continuing. “It’s easier if we have a family connection, like foster sisters or adopted siblings because most people won’t ask questions. But they will be wondering why two sisters are living together.” She chewed on her bottom lip shaking her head. “Also, for us to seem like good citizens in this town, we are going to have to get a jobs or our neighbors will be suspicious.” She told the young women glancing back down at the menu.

  “trust me  ,  i feel your pain  .”  there’s a little glint in her eyes as she washes the dishes by hand  ,  one by one in the sink  —–   it was more relaxing than the dishwasher  ,  it helped calm her nerves  .  god  ,  she must have washed them faster than they were able to even dirty in this house  .  nonetheless ,  the water felt good on her hands  ,  that were practically cracking with the palm of labor  .  “i don’t know what’s going to happen if we all just sit back and do nothing  —-  though  .  so suck it up  ,  and hand me the soap   .  you know i love you  ,  but i can’t be bothered to think about the next couple of days  .” gaze softens  ,  and she smiled lightly  .  “please roxy  ?” 

   he can’t help the roll of his eyes that follows promptly after the question  .  he had no interest in being crowned  ——    only in not tearing each other apart in the meantime  .  “nobody  .” it’s a quiet answer  ,  and he’s turning on his heels to end the conversation  ,  but pursing his lips  .  there’s a flicker of anger in his chest  ,  usually suppressed   ,  but for once  —-   he lets it burn  .  turning back  ,  his hand wavered between them  .  “you know  , it really doesn’t take a lot of fucking energy to show some basic human fucking decency  —–    trust me  ,  i’d know  .”  seeing as it takes twice the effort for someone like dylan to simply get out of bed  .  you didn’t see him blaming anybody else for his problems  ,  you didn’t see him going out of his way to destroy others  ,  in an effort to feel something  .  god   ——-      he was just tired of the excuses  .  “get over yourself  ,  before someone actually winds up dead  .”   let alone the fact  ,  that ben was still missing  .
