𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐒𝐄 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐃𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐓, she was finally going to tell blake about the feelings she’s been hiding from her these last few months. the new yorker didn’t have anything dramatic planned for the event--- they were both meeting a few people from class at a concert downtown and she was going to tell her when they got home. still, she was nervous. she knew that this could change the dynamic between the two forever, but having to hold this secret was getting more painful as time went on and she couldn’t keep doing this to herself. she needed to tell her... she needed her to know how much she loved her. how much she wanted her. even if that meant getting her heart broken in a thousand little pieces if her feelings ended up being unrequited. after finishing up her shift at the campus library, the brunette got back at their dorm and quickly showered before getting ready (  she decides on a simple black high waisted skirt, matching tights and a red wool sweater )  and minutes later she’s out the door and headed to the bar. she thanks the taxi driver when he drops her off in front of the building, stepping inside the low lit establishment as her eyes search for her best friend through the packed room. she smiles the second she spots her, moving through the crowd as her stomach flutters with butterflies the closer she approaches but then... then she notices the girl beside her. the one with her arm wrapped around her waist and realization quickly dawns on her like being hit by a bucket of cold water. she hadn’t heard anything about blake’s love life since their talk a few weeks ago and she simply assumed that the girl had been serious about focusing on her academics instead of dating. that’s why she’d built the courage to confess everything --- there was no one else in the picture. although tonight seemed to prove otherwise. she really couldn’t catch a break, could she?  she’s just about to turn around and get the hell out of there when she hears her name being called, gaze shifting to the classmates who had been awaiting her arrival and were currently waving her over. the ones sitting next to blake who has finally noticed her. she knows she can’t walk away without an explanation, so she makes her way towards them and offers a quick wave once there. ‘hey,’ she forces a small smile, avoiding eye contact with her roommate in an effort to stop the tears from forming. fuck. @feminince​
