I read your fic with Edward and Rosalie dancing and I loved itâ¤ď¸ I was wondering if you would write one where Edward saves Rose that dance at his and Bellaâs wedding?
âdonât say the wrong name, brother.â she had teased me moments before the ceremony
i had rolled my eyes, âiâll try and manage that, rose.â
then she had stopped for a moment, despite alice calling her away to take her place and she had hugged me tightÂ
âseriously, good luck. i wish you both all the happiness in the world.â
it had meant a lot to me, more than she would probably ever know
she was enjoying the wedding, she and emmett had been dancing the night away and whenever i say her she was beaming
when i left bella and jacob to their own devices, i decided to give them some privacy and find rosalie for my long-promised danceÂ
as expected, she and emmett were still dancing though it was a slower song than the previous ones
they were the only couple on the dance floor that werenât out of breath
i tapped emmett on the shoulder and made a big show of asking to cut in
somewhat reluctantly he agreed
âswap?â he offered, grinning as he searched the crowd for bella
i smirked, âthe bride is indisposed at present.â
âem!â rose cut him off, rolling her eyes at him. âlook, go see if esme wants a dance.â
âshe does.â i said, listening out for our motherâs thoughts
âyeah good idea.â emmett nodded. âalright, but i want this one back before the next fast one.â he winked at rose and relinquished his grip on her
âyou have my word.â i promised and took rosalieâs hand
we danced silently for a few seconds, enjoying the beauty of the music and the quiet peace of one anotherâs company
it was so rarely like this
âitâs so beautiful.â she whispered
âall of it. your wedding.â she giggled. âthatâs a strange sentence.â
âi didnât think it would ever come either.â
âwell itâs just youâve been to so many of mine i was beginning to feel it was a bit one-sided.â she said sarcasticallyÂ
i chuckled, âwhatâs that saying? always a bridesmaid?â
âand my choice of bride?â i asked somewhat apprehensivelyÂ
âperfect.â she admitted. âhow could she not be? sheâs the girl that made edward cullen want to dance again.â
âsheâs so much more than that.â
âitâs really going to happen then?â she murmered. âyouâre going to stay together⌠forever.â
âa promise is a promise.â i sighed. âi canât lose her and the price of that is her soul.â
rosalie pondered this for a moment and then shrugged, trying to keep the mood light, âi suppose if she doesnât want it then it doesnât make much difference if she has it or not, right?â
âi think thatâs more or less her take on it too. will you be ready to call her sister?â
âiâm ready.â rose said decidedly. âshe married my brother, that makes her family, no matter what happens after tonight.âÂ
then her tone became suddenly serious and she held onto me a little tighter
âyou know weâll always be there for her, edward. no matter what. i know iâve been terrible to her in the past but-⌠bella will always be protected and loved by me as my sister. iâll always help her when she needs me.â
ârose⌠you have no idea how much that-âŚâ
âjacob, stop it!â bellaâs voice cut into my hearing and i heard the screaming thoughts of her werewolf best manÂ
i dropped rosalie as though she was burning hot
âis it bella?â she whispered, panic widening her eyes
âitâs the muttâŚâ i growled under my breath. âi have to go.â
âof course⌠just, edward?â
âi meant what i said. iâll love her forever, i promise.â
i was straining a little now, desperate to be back by my wifeâs side
yet i humoured my sister for a minute more
âbellaâs a darling, but sheâs got two left feet⌠save another dance for me?â
