I recently had an adorable connection with a little girl that received my Frozen ornament. Her mom told me that her daughter loved it, but she wondered why Elsa was in the Ice Castle without Anna. The little girl was too shy to ask me herself. π§πΌπ₯Ί I honestly hadn't thought about it till then, I usually paint what feels right. I was able to talk to her and we agreed that it was because the castle was Elsaβs. She was shy, but we then talked about the princesses for a moment, her mostly shyly holding onto her mom and whispering and her mom repeating what she said back to me. It made my heart melt. β€οΈ She was adorable in her own way, but her love for Anna and Elsa, her desire to know how I decided on princess placement, and her shyness only made the moment more special for me. π Moments like this remind me that I'm not just painting for me, and I'm also not just painting for random people. Iβm painting for that girl. For you. For your best friend. Art has a way of touching us in the most interesting ways. Sometimes it rocks us, other times it causes us to smile.
