saving local wet wildlife in winter!
I just found out about people using leaf blowers over frozen lakes to blow air into the lake after stabbing a hole in the ice.
it seems plant life and animals use up the oxygen in the water and if the surface is frozen for too long the oxygen in the water doesn't have a good way to replenish, so humans now break holes in the ice and literally blow air underneath it.
looks really really cool as the leaf blower creates a huge visible air pocket, sending bubbles going in any direction under the ice
