If I have learned anything from E3 it would be that it will throw a wrench in what you think about games.
So as far as I can tell games are really improving, and I'll admit I'm impressed. The most of all so far? A promising new engine called Frostbite2.
For those of you who don't understand what gaming engines do, they are the controls, AI's, terrain, functions, and basically what keeps the game running smoothly, or not...
Unreal has been one of the most widely used engines and probably one of the best
unreal was used in games such as: Unreal tournament, Deus ex, Turok, Bioshock (1&2), Splinter Cell, Borderlands, Killing Floor, Mass Effect, Gears of War... ect
(there are many more games but I only put some of the games I had played and really enjoyed)
So as you can see, this engine is a big deal in gaming.
But I think its time has come.
Frostbite2 looks to be the new promising engine.
And I'm exited, gaming is getting better and now is the time to dive right in!
