i’m glad you’re interested! :3 this is my team! i sorta stole a wolfey team and then modified it a bit to do my own thing with it (swapped out two of the pokemon he used and kinda generally tweaked the strategy a bit) i’m in doubles ultra tier so i’m not sure how effective it’ll be once i get to master tier and champion tier but it’s been cooking so far. i set up with orthworm paired with either garchomp or primarina depending on the typing matchup against my opponent’s team. garchomp is more ideal because i can use earthquake and orthworm’s earth eater means it’s either doing no damage or even healing orthworm if she’s already taken damage by the time garchomp uses earthquake. when typing matchups make primarina a better choice over garchomp it’s still pretty solid because primarina is a powerful special attacker with just enough tankiness to last a while, especially with the leftovers i gave her. and orthworm is tanky enough that depending on the opponent’s typing i can get away with a heavy slam or body press or two before shedding tail! but orthworm’s true usage is for shed tail. hp is halved, she eats her sitrus berry to heal back up a bit, the substitute is put up, and she returns to me. then i can switch in frosslass!

now i can mega evolve frosslass and get the snow to start since her mega has snow warning. depending on what pokemon im facing i’ll have enough confidence to spend a turn using nasty plot and empower frosslass further, but if the opposing pokemon have a typing or speed advantage i’ll just go straight to blizzard since the snow is gonna make it reliable. now at a certain point if garchomp/primarina is knocked out i’ll switch in frost rotom, and then i can just SLAUGHTER my opponents with mega frosslass blizzard AND never melt ice frost rotom blizzard!!! and if either of them faint then ive still got orthworm who’s tanky enough to be a closer who can do just enough damage to finish off my opponents if necessary

there’s also situations where mega frosslass is defeated before garchomp/primarina, but that’s ok too. especially when it’s garchomp because it allows for a frost rotom garchomp duo, which once again makes earthquake viable for me since rotom has levitate!

alolan ninetales is here as insurance. if i look at my opponent’s team and am like wow this is extremely obviously a weather team and it’s not a snow team, then alolan ninetales is a good pokemon to replace frost rotom with for the sake of having a backup snow warning. my team CAN win without the snow, but clearly it’s built around it…so if someone’s got a super obvious weather team then i may use alolan ninetales so that if they override my mega frosslass snow i can just set up new snow by switching in ninetales. plus her aurora veil certainly doesn’t hurt to have!

in situations where my snow disappears the team has proven very reliable even then though! the pokemon are powerful enough and i cover enough of my bases in terms of typing and everything that there have been tons of battles i’ve won despite not being able to blizzard spam lol
