bbyš! have you done haikyuu characters in hogwarts? if you know about harry potter, would you be their sorting hat~š i would love to hear your opinion!
hi ofc!!! i used to be very deep in the hp fandom so here are my thoughts on some of hte haikyuu charactersā hogwarts housesĀ (which may be controversial lmao). i just did a handful of characters who came to mind, but if there are any others youād like to hear about, please lmk and iād be happy to sort them!
hinata could be a hufflepuff because of his drive and hard work, but i think about him challenging ushijima at shiratorizawa that one time, and i feel like boldness makes him a gryffindor. heās always declaring that he will make it to nationals; to me, his dedication and work (more hufflepuff traits) are a byproduct of his bold claims.Ā
bokuto is so gryffindor! i can see him doing marauder-y things at fukurodani, much to akaashiās exasperation
atsumuĀ seems like a slytherin, but i canāt shake the image of him as a gryffindor. the key difference is that heās straightforward and honest about his competitiveness and even his selfishness, so while he has slytherin traits, heās got a gryffindor mindset. (on the other hand, i feel like osamu may be a slytherin.)
akaashi is a ravenclaw through and through. definitely not a hugely ambitious person, and heās so analytical and logical that he could only be a ravenclaw to me.
kenma is logical and clever, yet not ambitious/cunning enough to place him in slytherin
ushijima might have been the most difficult to sort, but iām putting him in ravenclaw. if youāve seen the shiratorizawa post-finals video, heās observant and analytical, and while heās not emotionless or heartless, heās not so moved by feelings like the underclassmen are. he hates hinataās baseless confidence because hinata has no evidence for his claims of beating shiratorizawa, which seems like a ravenclaw thing to me. not ambitious necessarily because he desires to win, but because itās the natural thing to do.
kita is so dedicated and diligent and hardworking and amazing i canāt see him as anything but hufflepuff. heās head boy material for sure.
kageyama is incredibly difficult, but iām saying slytherin based off of his inherent characteristics. heās setter because he wants to control the ball and the plays, heās very ambitious and unafraid to call out others when necessary, and heās a little bit selfish by nature. heās like a mix of ravenclaw and gryffindor but with a more self-centered slant (when i say self-centered, i donāt mean narcissistic, but literally just centered on himself). itās also a good foil for hinata, whom i see as a gryffindor.
tsukishima was also very difficult for me to sort, but he ended up in slytherin because i feel like somehow he would rather be slytherin than ravenclaw. but heās not a slytherin because he can act condescending, selfish, or mean (i feel like thatās the logic behind most of the fandomās sorting), itās because he has self-preservation tendencies and likes to manipulate people his way for his means. heās actually incredibly protective of his family and loyal to himself and his loved ones first.Ā while tsukishima isnāt the most ambitious person, heās more complex in his motivations than i think a ravenclaw would be.
oikawa is a slytherin!!! he just is. heās got all the qualities of a slytherin, both positive and negative. itās not because heās portrayed as an antagonist character, itās just how he is.
kuroo is difficult because i see why people think heās a ravenclaw, but just because someone is seen as smart or nerdy doesnāt automatically make them a ravenclaw. heās cunning and known as the scheming captain for a reason.
