Do you think that he thought about when he got those nectarines, Zoro had snatched one, rock hard and bitter, his rough fingers tearing into the unripe fruit. That Sanji chastised him for taking from his kitchen, for mutilating the poor nectarine while it was still softening, that if he just waited two days, or even two minutes Sanji could have cut it up, cleaned the pit.

Do you think that Zoro laughed at him, insisting not every meal needs to be a performance. Teased him about how stuffy he got over a single fruit. That Sanji scoffed, and shot back some insult, but Zoro dug out a chunk of nectarine and told him to just try it his way, and relax.

Do you think that Sanji took the piece of fruit, and despite the sour nature, and the mild flavour, the juices stained his palette. That for a moment of quiet understanding, he didn't bicker with Zoro about his methods, as he sucked the pit clean and spat it at him, before licking his sticky fingers, snickering at something or other that went on in that green head.

Do you think Sanji stole a glance at Zoro, wrapped in bandages, pale and sickly from blood loss, and his hands shook, as he cleaned the next pit, for his jam?
