What's your favorite propeller driven fighter aircraft?
THIRD PLANE ASK IN A DAY. JFC FROG DON'T DO THIS TO ME /j
I don't know if I have any favorite to be honest with ya. I know a few that I like, so let's delve into them.
First one is Airco DH.2, a British WW1 fighter biplane. It's a pusher, but the way they attach the vertical stabilizer is pretty unique.
And if you can't tell from the image, this is what it looks like from the top.
Yes, two diagonal struts. I used to have a paper model of this plane actually, that I assembled myself, but it's gone now. No idea where it went, if it still exists at all.
Don't ask me where I found out about this plane /hj
Second one is, surprisingly, another pusher plane. Kyushu J7W Shinden.
Nope, not because of the recent Godzilla movie that features this plane. I know the Shinden way before that. It was in Strikers 1945 II (PS1) as a playable aircraft. Intended to be an interceptor irl but alas only ends up as a prototype.
Although I think Ace Combat tried reviving this plane in the form of the ASF-X Shinden II.
Don't know why they featured it first in Assault Horizon, the black sheep of Ace Combat franchise. Last ditch attempt to get CoD fans into Ace Combat probably.
But I digress. Back to prop planes.
Lastly, the P-38 Lightning!
When I was around 7 or 8 I was invited to visit my sister's friend, and he had a 1/64 scale model of this. I was captivated. The twin props, twin tails, twin vertical stabs, I loved it. And it was also, coincidentally, in Strikers 1945 II as a playable aircraft.
While I like their designs, nowadays I'm not interested in prop planes anymore. But I know that without them, we wouldn't have Mach 2 fighter jets today.
Today's fuckable dragon of the day is...
DUNKELZAHN from SHADOWRUN
14 for Jenny!
Jenny's first major crush was a fellow cheerleader and that went disastrously. Ultimately leading to her separation from home very young.
Her first love though? Alice. Alice and Jenny's first meeting was unorthodox, Jenny was an accidental interloper on Alice's world. The funny thing was Jenny was a criminology student while Alice was something more akin to a detective in that world.
Alice and Jenny's relationship was explosive, it was like fire. They were drawn to each other like crazy.
Now they still remember them fondly.
I should really write down the whole Jenny lore sometime...

What about Cipher from Ace Combat Zero?
Or Blaze from AC5?
Or Trigger from AC7?
What would their service weapons/bailout weapons be?
It's been 84 years.
I don't actually know what kind of guns are issued to pilots in case they are shot down and bailing out over enemy territory. The only case I know is the USMC helicopter pilot in COD4 Modern Warfare who uses an MP5A3 against incoming enemies when her AH-1 Cobra was hit by an RPG/Stinger missile.
Cipher being a native Ustio which is loosely based on Czech Republic could carry a CZ 75 in his holster.
Blaze is relatively easy; it can be inferred from Edge (Nagase) during the cutscene after White Noise mission where she can be seen holding a legally different Beretta 92F, so Blaze could sensibly carry the same handgun.
(Why she's holding it with a teacup grip is beyond me)
Trigger is also an Osean like Blaze, Edge and the rest of Wardog squadron. Another Beretta would've been too easy however. Considering the game's modern setting (2019-2020) Trigger could carry a SIG M18 Carry (pun unintended).
With the amount of Gs he's pulling I just hope it won't go off on its own in the cockpit...
