Thranduil knocked gently on the small, rounded door.
He awaited a reply, studying the herbs he had in his hand. In the time he'd been with Elrond, he'd learned much about the healing arts. While he was no expert healer, he would certainly try his damnedest to help the young Hobbit.
After a few moments, he opened the door slowly. Frodo sat on the edge of his bed, wrapped in blankets and yet still shivering. He was staring blankly out the window, as if he were looking for something far to the East.
Thranduil laid the herbs out on the table, beginning to crush them. The hobbit sat quietly, and Thranduil began to wonder if Frodo knew he was even there. He left for a moment, returning with a mug full of hot water, and began mixing the plants to create a tea. He looked back at Frodo, who hadn't so much as blinked since he left, still staring out the window.
"Here," he said, handing the tea to Frodo. "It may help."
