The Call of a Hero
From the Tales of Froman:
SCENE: NYC ROOFTOP - NIGHT
[Comic Book Narrator]:
“In a city overrun with superheros, our hero stands tall over the city. His city. As well as many others’ city. Perched atop a secure rooftop location, Fro-Man, master of the jump and things purple, scans the city he loves with hawk-like perception. He has sworn to protect this city, and all its inhabitants... but from up here they are small and indistinguishable... also, it is hard to see in the night. All notes for later. Erect with a pant-load full of pride-- and justice, Fro-Man prepares for his next dashing adventure against evildoers and crime itself.
[Fro-Man]: (A deep, broading, dark hero like voice): “Beware, City, for Froman is here to save-- wait, no--”
(clears throat): “Not beware, city of mine, for I, me, will-- no.”
[Fro-Man adjusts his stance]
(focuses; concentrates): Oh, city, that which is mine, the same city that I hold dearly to my hear...”
“Don’t be afraid city! I see you there!”
“Yo, city. You ready?”
“City... look out!”
“Ima get you, trouble. Better watch yourself.”
“When in fear-- don’t be.”
“I say, KERPOW with justice.”
[Fro-Man steps down from the rooftop ledge. He briefly returns.]
“These were drafts. Thank you all for you patience.”
