It’s easy to forget how much even the simplest of good representation can matter to a person but then I remember the way I watched Mirabelle ISAT’s friend quest play out in pure awe and comfort in the That’s Me!!! way and those emotions were just so precious
And I’ve been fortunate enough to know that other people DO feel that way and it wasn’t just me, but that scene impacted me more than I expected it to
So for people that DONT have others to make them feel not broken or help them realize who they are, this kind of representation can be so much to them, can even save lives
There are a solid amount of other examples for this as well but I nearly cried when watching my friend play through her friendquest so it’s been on my mind
Decided to do a drawing a day while working on my remaster of FriendQuest, first one is watercolor!
All of these will be concept art I’m working on, even if changes to what’s recognizable is small. This one I’m trying another simple redesign of his winged scarab collar piece. Compared to the original, what do you guys think?
