Most of the outdoor creatures he meets (other than humans, usually) scurry off when he comes near, though, so he pauses in place, even though he really wants to meet them. Instead, he watches from where he is, and starts lifting and bobbing his head in sync with their movements. At one point, he tilts his head so far he nearly makes himself fall over, and has to stop and shake his head for a second before refocusing on them.
