I'm back again with Youtube recs. This year's Homestuck Resources Expansion Pack is focused on MUSIC. Well. Sorta kinda not really. Only the first half is music related.

2. Fridgestuck: Fraymotifs (Facts/Theories) by LaureledEevees

It's music theory time. The meta delivery is hilarious, and the titles of combo fraymotifs are fascinating. S Collide's fraymotif select menu is something that I only learned about today. That is so fucking cool. (Daniel Thrasher Megalovania jumpscare)

3. ALL Unreleased Homestuck Music v2 uploaded by Alternative WheatleyMF

This is the Homestuck Sound Test pack (courtesy of @sanctferum), the 7-years-ago version. Over 7 hours long and has all tracks identified. Etoile Declipse and TheCawnFlight also have individual tracks uploaded to Youtube.

I enjoy positive overview video essays for homestuck. Especially if the essayist has made a separate homestuck recap video. Great resource.

After I thought we had made up, she left a letter of resignation on my desk.] [I find her resignation unacceptable and cannot help but think she did this for some reason external to displeasure at work.] [Although if I have done something wrong, I would like to fix it.] [Admittedly I miss her more than I miss her work ethic, which was top notch.]

A few moments later.

[I’ve been rude, how are you?] [It has been a while. I hope you and Eridan are well.]

[You hesitate.]

[You swallow.]

[You stand.]

UHH

[It’s been a little while since the thing with Lars happened. You managed to ignore the swirl of emotions and revelations it caused you and focus on helping out instead, but it hadn’t taken you too long to determine what you’d have to do next. Still, you’d be lying if you said you weren’t putting it off.]

[You were happy here. You were comfortable. The company was nice, hanging out was a lot of fun, and others that you cared about even got to spend time here with you.

You knew it was temporary from the beginning. Waver invited you to stay so that you could safely heal up. You were a guest and you knew it would be over when you were back to full strength. You planned to just enjoy it while it lasted, but now you fear that the longer you stay, the more everyone involved will be hurt when things inevitably come to a head.]

[Trolls aren’t like humans. You’ve killed countless people, Eridan’s record isn’t exactly clean, and Gamzee still sometimes bashes peoples heads in for fun. Anda’s secret about Lars wasn’t received well--and Lars was a vigilante at worst--you can’t imagine how it would go with you.]

[And so, you decided that today would be the day. You flash everyone your standard Terezi™ grin while they’re all relaxing in the living room.]

[Neither your voice, nor your expression, wavers even despite the aching in your chest. At least you got to know them this much. At least your last case was a meaningful one. At least--

The last face he expects to see when he sneaks his way back into Terezi’s apartment is Gamzee, for sure. The shock on his face hopefully isn’t obvious, though a moment later does Joshua realize that’s only because of the exhaustion painting his features. So he blinks.

“Hiya there.”

That... should work, right? Gamzee hadn’t even spoken to him the last time they’d encountered each other, so it’s not like there’s even a reputation to break already. His voice feels hoarse, but not unusual otherwise-- a welcome discovery. He blinks again.

“You’re…” Careful, Joshua, you don’t want to make it obvious that you’re straining to think over your next words. “... not who I expected.”

Then he closes the window behind him, lands back on his feet, and settles into the apartment as if it were still his own, sly smile returning to his face for the first time this encounter.

–「 This is the day you do it. You’re finally going over to Gamzee’s to just... hang out with Gamzee, once and for all. You’ve never actually *been* to his hivestem before, and you’re less than hopeful about it not being fucking weird. But if you’re going to be friends with him, you need to stop leaning on Terezi to void the awkward clown moments. Also... you want to get to know him. Because you’ve come to the conclusion you don’t know Gamzee at all. Not really. 」

「 You knock on his door loudly, just in case he’s got headphones or something in. 」
