7. Is there anything you used to like, but now can’t stand?

I don’t know if there’s anything I used to like that I “now can’t stand,” but I used to really like Firefly but at this point, I don’t like it all that much. Which is two things: a) getting sick of Joss Whedon’s very distinct writing style, which is now everywhere – every nerd writer wants to write like him – and Firefly shows some of his worst habits, and b) a lot of why I liked it was the novelty of it being a space western. But it was before I saw better ones like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. The former in particular really, obviously, heavily inspired a lot of the more interesting features of Firefly, and it just paled in comparison afterward.

At this point I think the only Whedon thing I really like is Buffy. Both because there are more other voices on it, and because I think his particular style works better for something like that (led by teenagers, campy, etc.)

9. Have you received anon hate? What about?

I used to, but don’t any more because I have anon disabled. I still receive lots of interesting anon hate on my ask.fm, though: mostly just trollish gotcha questions (often the same one from the same person over and over, because that’s funny somehow?). Occasionally someone who is a little too interested in my sex/dating life.
