Imagine being Freya's friend.
Imagine meeting Freya for the first time, you were a shy and modest kid. Simply following your father, the high priestess as he talked to Freya's older sister; Skuld. Imagine meeting Freya for the first time, waving softly as her eyes light up. She introduces herself to you, and encourages you to come out of your shell. Imagine slowly growing attached to Freya's carefree personality, imagine growing feelings for her as you two reached double digits in your age. Imagine being reluctant to follow her when she sneaked out to the Martyr Shrine to see her sister.
Imagine tugging on her arm and reminding her that both of you'll be in big trouble, she shrugs off your warning as she peeks and watches the Valkyries do a ritual. Imagine getting too distracted and not noticing where Freya was going until it was too late. Imagine witnessing the incident, seeing Skuld sacrifice herself for Freya as she jumped into the energy field to stop it from exploding. Imagine rushing to Freya's side despite the blinding light, seeing Skuld disappear into the energy field and seemingly dying as she became dust inside of it.
Imagine helping Freya through her trauma, ignoring your father's warning to take care of yourself as you assisted your friend in her training. Imagine seeing her grow, grow to be like Skuld and slowly forgetting about you. She became a big sister to everyone but had abandoned you in your self destructive mind. Imagine seeing her take the title of a Valkyrie and take her sister's mantle. Imagine subconsciously avoiding her as your mental health grow worse. Freya tries her best to find you, but it seemed impossible— even in an empty town with nothing but buildings and stands that are left unatended.
Imagine Freya's descent into worry when she asks your father and he tells her that he doesn't know. She was growing frantic, trying to remember the last time you two conversed; but it was like you never existed. Imagine Freya trying to ignore the call for her to come to the coast shore, she was determined to find you. But alas, a week has passed and you weren't there. She decides to stop the search first, and answer the call leading the coast shore.. Imagine how her blood ran cold when she saw your body laying limp on the sand, imagine her running towards you desperately. She chants in her head that you weren't dead; You couldn't be!
But then she feels your pulse. She wasn't imagining this anymore, this was true. She performs CPR and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, thinking you just had an accident at sea. But you still didn't breathe. Tears were pooling in her eyes as a thunder rumbled from behind her— Franco and Bane were still fighting, but she couldn't leave you. How could she? She forgot about you when she had approached you first.
