I just read the second chapter of @raennem 's The Icarus Experiment and I. Am. Destroyed. Holy shit. I need to leave a review but I need to step back and just breathe for a bit first. I don't think I've read a more devastating chapter in a long, long time. Maybe ever. If you like hurt/comfort folks (and it does hurt, right now) and family and love and family fighting but still loving each other and growing past trauma go read this fic. Fuck. Fuck, that was so good. Warning: it's a les Mis Maximum Ride AU kinda thing, so experimentation on kids? Torture? Yeah, that shit happens. Also suicidal ideation as well. Also a lot of anxiety over growing up and intelligence and stuff...? It's not finished and the second chapter as I said Destroyed Me so if you are the kinda person who doesn't read WIPs, wait on this one. (If you don't like WIPs go read the author's amazing Rise of The Guardians AU because it's also Fucking Brilliant and I cried)
