Quick question-What's the best way to cleanse a pendulum? I'm just starting out and there's so many different ways that I'm not sure where to begin. Its a homemade pendulum with string and a seashell if that helps any. I just don't want to screw up. Thanks a whole bunch :)
Usually the best method pertains to the type of crystal you have picked to use for your pendulum (based off the research I have conducted myself). However, because you are using a seashell to help you, I personally would first begin to cleanse it using water. Salt water helps to soak overnight, but make sure your shell is not sensitive to the salt just in case it damages it, and we can’t have a damaged pendulum, can we? The best method involving water, from what I’ve read, is using a running water source. So, a river or stream near by if you have access. I live near the ocean, so I lowered my crystal in the tide and let it run for a few minutes.
Personally, I used several methods to ensure that my crystal would be functional and well. Allowing your pendulum to sit underneath growing leaves and absorb the energy from the sun and moon (full or new is the most effective) anywhere from a day to a week (preferably outside) is very cleansing and charging. A good alternative to this would to bury it underneath some growing herbs or plants in your garden for about three days to a week, also most effective during a full moon.
If all else fails, there’s always sage cleaning that will surely do the trick.
I know I gave you a few options, but it’s usually customizable based off what your pendulum is. I ran mine in water and tied it to the tree for three days and nights, one being a full moon. It’s up to you for what you feel is right for your pendulum.
