One day a famous mauy tai fighter came to town to challenge Bruce Lee to a fight on the set of the Big Boss. This challenger had won mauy tai king 7years in a row and was know to be one of the greatest fighters ever. Bruce Lee was filming on set when the mauy tai king approached and Bruce was more than willing to accommodate the challenger, they both took arms ready to do battle which didn't take Bruce long at all a full 18secs and the fight was over. The mauy tai king was in awe of Bruce, no one has ever treated the mauy tai king as you have, Bruce just calmly look his way and said "the man who wins is the man who thinks he can"! Being confident has alot to do with allowing yourself to achieve the wins in your life, if you assess the situation believe in yourself that you can do it then 9 times out of 10 you're a winner. Confidence is not cockiness, a confident person knows the situation a cocky person is an uninformed person and doesn't know all the factors. Chuck Norris, one of Bruce's best friends and multi award winning karate champion quoted saying, "I'm a fighter, I have been in and out of tournaments my whole life, Bruce never fought competitively he wasn't a fighter"! Which I believe had some truth but Bruce was a technician and knew the science behind fighting. When you are a fighter in the ring you have alot to take into consideration and being able to calm your mind before a fight will help you to focus, this is where Bruce excels I believe once he is focused he is a force to be reckoned with. Being focus allows Bruce to dictate the fight and in turn gives him confidence the longer the fight last, but alas this fight was only 18secs and didn't last long at all. So my point to the story is learn, educate yourself, teaching others can also help in the learning process but the more you know with anything in life or in general is the key to being confident in your actions. Know what you want!!!
