As PR director Bob Linke printed this sticker. Some DJs were mad at its printing. Back during those days (hopefully still today), KMNR had sticker design contests opened to all the students and DJs. Usually the contest runs during the first part of the fall semester. However, it usually takes until about mid-semester or later before a winner can be chosen and an actual sticker made. Since Bob was the Public Relations Director, he wanted to have some stickers at the very beginning of the Fall semester. The plan was to make a small run of a new sticker for the beginning of the Semester and also have the normal contest to pick a winner for mass printing. Anna Boyd (now Anna Hunt who married Jim Hunt - a former KMNR station manager) had quickly come up with a design. A few DJ's didn't like Bob's plan since they wanted their design to have a chance at being in print. Bob went ahead and printed the sticker anyway and then had the contest. The contest winning design was the "Computer Gen. Original" design that can be seen below.
