While working with kids one of the most common mistakes I see is kids relying solely on upper body at the free throw line. I've slowed down one of the most common mistakes I see and put it next to a normal shot incorporating the legs. 

In slow motion you can really notice how the legs bend but the shooter almost locks the knees before letting the ball go. Your legs and hips are your friends when shooting a basketball---> Use them! The less "stop and go's" in a shot the better as this creates a more easily repeatable and efficient shot.
