Teacher: Aye youre a senior now. Write a little reflection on the major and questions you had about it when you were a freshman!
Me: Easy.
Writing it: Is this a ‘right’ major for me? Will i be happy doing this?? Am i even capable of doing it???
Me, on the edge of tears: Boy howdy i don’t know. I sure hope so.
#existential crisis in this house toNIGHT#like#Free points#but also#making me confront the fact that many of my fears were realized on a sunday night?#terrible#i am capable of being a chem e#probably - those exams did not go well this last week#but i'm a senior now#and i don't know if i'll enjoy doing this#or what i'll do#i have to start applying for jobs in earnest soon#but at this point its too late to transfer to like an ecology major#and go become a park ranger#live in a fire watch tower rereading the same four books#take hikes to yell at people about fire danger#rebuilding trails#i don't know if that would make me happy either#but i gotta keep moving forward#work to be happy#and hope that looking back the narrative makes since
