In March 2012, I visited the discrete warehouses Ludlow Santo Domingo Library. Preserved in Geneva since 2003, this collection belonged to the Colombian businessman and friend of the arts Julio Mario Santo Domingo Jr. After his death, all the works were transferred to Harvard University. It is a few days before the cartons leave for the United States as I could, with the help of Dylan Perrenoud (photographer), make a record of this set of books and articles, also called The Fritz Hugh Ludlow Memorial Library, initiated in 1970 by Michael Horowitz, Cynthia Palmer, William Dailey and Robert Barker. Ludlow Santo Domingo Library is known specialists and enthusiasts, to be the largest collection of books on the history of psychotropic and psychedelic drugs. 

Installing LSD Library is composed of an all-over digital print depicting shelves books and articles sham. The books are reproduced in 1:1 scale and all securities are perfectly legible.

Like a modern-times archaeologist, Geneva-based artist FREDERIC POST hunted, collected and copied logos of Ecstasy pills during five years. Only interested in the visual dimension of these objects, he compiles his collection of drawings in a book entitled “Anonymous Engravings on Ecstasy Pills”, conferring thus value to an underground iconography of over 500 signs.

Around this concept, FREDERIC POST also developped an “Ecstasy Nacht” and necklaces made with moulds of ecstasy pills called “Ecstasy jewelry“. And good news: you can buy this book via http://www.boabooks.com
