Freddyween 2017 Day 3- Spirits/Vampire

Characters: Michael, Afton’s Daughter, Ennard

“Whatcha reading?”

Michael glanced up from the page to find the source of the voice. He gave his sister a glare, angry at her interrupting his reading.

“A book.”

She rolled her eyes. “Duh! I know but what’s it about?”

“A brother who murdered his sister with a book ‘cause she interrupted his reading,” he muttered.

She wasn’t phased. It was her turn to glare. “Come on, Mikey! What’s it about? What’s it about? I won’t leave until you tell meeee!”

“Uh, fine!” He slammed the book down. “It’s about vampires! Happy?”

“Ugh, another one?” she groaned. “Of course, it’s about vampires!” After all, all he seemed to read and watch had something to do with vampires. It seemed to be his latest obsession.

“You like your candy and ice cream. I like my vampires. Now leave me alone. I wanna read, kid.”

“And I wanna annoy you.” She jumped up onto the bed he was sitting on with the biggest grin he had ever seen. 

He groaned and picked up the book, attempting to find the page he had left on. In his annoyance, he had actually failed to save his page.

“Sooooo, any girls you like?”

He groaned again, burying his face in a random page in an attempt to look like he was reading.

“Alright, alright, no girls.” She rolled her eyes. “How about guys?”

He threw the book at her.

The TV flickered on with a screech of static and Ennard jumped, not realizing they had accidentally stepped on the remote. The room lit up from the light and, somewhere in the neighborhood, a dog barked. Well, the dog barking most likely had nothing to do with them stepping on the remote, but it was important enough to note anyways.

Careful with their new costume, they knelt down to pick up the remote, hoping to turn the TV off.

A stereotypical vampire voice stopped them. 

“You burned down my house?” it shrieked. 

They slowly raised their head, careful to not piece the skin of their costume, to find some sort of animated cartoon playing. The channel must have been preset to this. Eggs-- no. MICHAEL-- had watched this often.

The... the vampire...

They ditched the remote and moved to the armchair, lowering themselves into it.

October 29th- Glitch/Spiders

I, personally, may have no fear of spiders, nature’s cute and fuzzy insect-eaters, but who out there doesn’t know the anxiety-inducing fear of a glitch? Yikes! Let’s channel that fear today!

I hear there’s a lot of arguing about Candy Corn...fill me in!

Fun fact: Originally, Jack-O-Lanterns were made from turnips!
