Friendly Invitation - Marco and Mikasa
This was... unusual. And she was actually feeling depressed about it. Eren and Armin had made plans for dinner... and had specifically stated they wanted her to go on ahead. As in, they didn't want her around. Now, likely, it was something that they were just trying to keep secret from her (the last time they'd acted like this, she'd ended up with two sheepish boys handing her two handmade sculptures for her birthday), but it still hurt.
Slowly, she made her way down the staircase, burying the lower half of her face in her scarf. She didn't like crying, so she tried to just muffle it all behind the red scarf. But she... also didn't like being alone. Well, technically she wasn't alone. There were paintings and ghosts and students all over the place. But she felt alone, and that was all that really mattered. What made it worse was that she did have some urge to go talk to someone, but didn't really know what to do.
She knew how to shout, she knew how to intimidate, she knew how to answer questions. But when it came to simple chatting? If it wasn't something important (academic, quidditch, health of someone, or something related to her prefect job), then she didn't really know what to say. So, she just continued walking down the stairs towards the dining hall, face firmly tucked into her scarf.
What were those two plotting behind her back anyway? It had better not be dangerous.
