I think your WS arm looks great. I am thinking of building one in the future. Did you use chrome spray paint on it to get it so shiny?

I used rustoleum chrome silver, because it's the cheapest I could find.
But be warned- on the foam i used, it actually kind of comes off on your hands when you touch it and the oils on your hands leaves fingerprints. Which is actually kind of cool if you want it to look a little battle worn.
I didn't build mine to last longer than one day. If I wanted it to last and be worn again and again I think I might have used foam as the base or maybe paper mache for the base. Something a little more substantial or professional.
But masking tape, craft foam, acrylic paint, spray paint and a crap ton of hot glue is definitely a good way to go if you don't need it to last long.
But yeah, you can get pretty good results from what is essentially garbage.

The deposit was $75, with the total (unassembled, build kit) being $250+shipping USD.
I don’t know that he’s taking any more orders, as he was talking about this run being one-time-only due to his work load. He also said he wouldn’t be taking orders for any of his helmet props due to his current wait list.
If he opens his commissions back up, I will be sure to post here (and on my cosplay blog twogirlssewing) and tag it with “BigGeek” and “BigGeek Props.”

i agree, i was braced for yet another epically choreographed fight scene between sam and crossy and was a bit dumbfounded when it turned out we miss out on it! it made no sense...
I know it's probably a deleted scene and it's gonna b on the Blu-Ray and it's gonna be awesome and like all these scenes, we're gonna ask why it wasn't in the movie and the answer will be "Because then the movie would be four hours long."
But they could've at least let Sam trick Crossbones into getting plastered somehow instead of getting his ass kicked, apparently, and then winning by default. There'd better be a rematch, s2g.
