Oh, my Idrilla might want to spay the Bunny hybrid!reader or else the neighborhood will be knee deep in babies real fast, cause everyone knows that bunnies are super fertile but I donβt think they know how much.
Bunnies don't have regular cycles, they're induced ovulators (they release eggs after mating). While humans have monthly menstrual cycles whether or not they mate. Even if you convert it to hybrids the bunny hybrid would possibly ovulate in response to arousal or touch, that would make it so that the conception could happen from almost any mating.
Bunny pregnancies last up to 30 days resulting in 4 to 12 kits. While human pregnancies lasts 9 months resulting in usually with just 1 baby. So bunny hybrid's pregnancies would approximately last for 3 to 4 months resulting in 2 to 4 offsprings per birth.
Bunnies can get pregnant again within hours after birth. While humans need weeks to months before fertility returns. So bunny hybrids would have faster recovery, maybe fertile again within a few weeks.
Did I think too hard about a totally fiction situation? Maybe, maybe not, but at least it's out of my head now.
hii!! you dove deeper in bunnys biology than i even did LOLOL
thats not a bad thing!! a lot of the things here were very helpful acc thank you!
in the beginning of mydeis solo fic, i was going to explain that idrila had bought bunny plan b pills after her incident with phaichan but maybe theyll have to talk about a more effective birth control...
something i want to explore in anaxas fic is that hybrids were originally created for pleasure. now they are more generally only kept as pets, but that means they were genetically modified to be utilized (ew i hate that word in this context TT) for sexual pleasure. so hybrid fertility (esp ones that are female) is lower and close to 0 (but not impossible!) but ofc hybrids with higher fertility and libido like bunny reader are the ones more susceptible to pregnancy. with idrilas help getting contraceptives and the fact she was genetically modified to "not get pregnant," she should be okay for now LOLOL
in my au, im most likely going to have most if not all hybrids follow more closely to human biology (im sorry everyone but that is a LOT of mating biology i have to research otherwise TT). i dont want bunny getting pregnant (at least not yet)!! not while she has so many other hybrids to meet hehe. hmm but aside from the libido levels and higher sensitivity, bunnys biology wont be too much like that of an acc bunny (though that would be interesting to explore). in general, ill probably only take into account animal libido levels for the hybrids but this was very insightful!! thank you hehe
