october, the month of pumpkins and squash <3 you know how much i love them all. so last week i visited this famous pumpkin farmer near klosterneuburg again.
last year i couldn't decide which ones to choose and this year was even harder. so i took even more than last year… what a concept.
anyways, i thought you might want to know a bit about those different pumpkins and the squash as well so for the next few days i'll show you all the varieties in my pumpkinparade.
today i'll start with the moschata de provence
this is the one you'd find in a fairytale growing into a big carriage. isn't he beautiful? this is a tiny one, there are even bigger ones but i just couldn't carry them home!
i think i might try the roasting with this one… i just can't imagine putting it into soup… way to pretty!
and then there is the marble
very pale and lightly green or blue, i used it last year for a soup and it was delicious! such a bright orange, incredible!
can't wait to get some cooking done! but first i'll have to do some studying.
