I just got my Iida Tomonui plushie in the mail! Such a handsome little man... So how do YOU think Tenya would react to the reader he has a crush on cozying up to a plushie in his likeness? I feel like he'd be flattered at first, but then when the jealousy comes he'd try to find every excuse in the world to confiscate it - but the reader won't let THAT happen!
Hm...our boy Tenya and jealousy, eh? Honestly, I think he would feel honored that his crush has a plushie with his likeness. He’d feel like it’s a symbol that they possibly like him back, but he wouldn’t allow himself to get his hopes high as knows it’s rude to assume things. But, his curiosity would get the best of him and he’d start asking the reader about the plushie. Why they like the character and if they favor others with the personality of the character they like, etc.
He’d need to figure out as much information as he can, but the more he sees his crush with the plushie. The more he begins to feel jealous but jealousy is a foreign emotion for Tenya as he’s more for self-discipline, he believes in earning things rather than expecting something to be his. So he’d accept the fact that he’s jealous and he’d understand it relates to his feelings for his crush and the fact they seem to idolize the plushie over him.
He’d make up excuses that they can’t have it out during class or in the halls. Eventually, this would span to him freaking out in the dorms about the reader allowing the plushie to have its own spot on the couch. Possibly a spot that Tenya favored and his classmates would tell him to calm down and his close friends Izuku and Uraraka would realize he’s only freaking out because of his feelings for his crush and try to convince him to just confess how he feels to them instead of being jealous.
