We're gigantic Francis Lam fans over here- we've adored his writing from the days where he was an editor at Gourmet Magazine, to Salon.com, to his current stint at Gilt Taste. He inspired us to create a Black Sesame Whoopie Pie in his honor (and yes, it's DELICIOUS, and will be returning to our shop next week). He's got a fantastic Twitter account that you absolutely should follow. He's our favorite judge on Top Chef Masters (it premieres this week, and no we haven't seen it, but we just KNOW he's going to be the best judge ever).  And most importantly, aside from being brilliant, thoughtful and always insightful- he's an UNBELIEVABLY nice guy. What a nice surprise it was to wake up this morning and to learn that Francis loves us back. He was interviewed by Immaculate Infatuation about his five favorite Twitter accounts, and I am floored that he put me on there. I'm actually struggling writing this blurb because I am just so speechless. To be called such nice things by someone you have such incredible respect and admiration for- wow. Just wow.
