I don't have anything to post right now, so I'll just write my opinion.
Many people don't like it when their favorite franchise is milked till 0. For example, Winx was extended until season 8 and then rebooted. I understand this may spoil the overall impression of the project and destroy nostalgia (like Disney films based on old cartoons). But at the same time I don't think it's that bad?
Let companies suck everything they can out of the franchises for money if they wanna. Those who don't like it will watch only what they liked (the first four seasons of Winx, for example), and those who do like everything will continue watching till they don't. There are bad sequels like "Velma", "Ice Age4 and so on" there are also good reboots like "DuckTales", "Cinderella2,3", and they all have their fans.
