i finally watched Wake Up Dead Man on netflix and. oh my god. holy shit i wish i got to see this in theaters i am PISSED that i didn't get to see this in theaters. oh my god of all movies this one deserved a proper theatrical run instead of having me watch it on my laptop in the light. it was so good it was amazing i loved it. i loved it so much the plot the writing the acting the lighting the camerawork all of it this is a movie that NEEDS to be witnessed in theaters and it is so theatrical in a way that can't get translated over streaming as well and it is so good without that too but IT SHOULDVE HAD A PROPER THEATER RELEASE. anyway i love this movie i love the knives out franchise and tbh this is the first one of the franchise that has felt like a bonafide murder mystery, not some mix of thriller or comedy, but an impossible and complex murder mystery through and through. (not to say the other ones weren't good but not in this way) amazing.
