Fram2 - the first human spaceflight to explore Earth's polar regions - lifts off from pad 39A in Florida.

I actually gasped when I saw the bit of "space jellyfish" peeking through the clouds. It's the first time I've seen one, and it did not disappoint!

Here's my launch footage of Fram2, taken from my backyard! A really neat launch. The trajectory allowed me to see it for a good long time. All other footage taken from SpaceX.

Another Rolex Sea Dweller in space... Norwegian crew member Jannicke Jane Mikkelsen wore her personal Rolex SeaDweller during the Crew Dragon Fram2 mission in April 2025! SpaceX Crew Dragon Fram2 was a fully private spaceflight mission funded by Chinese-born Maltese businessman Chun Wang and was the very first manned spaceflight mission to be launched into a Polar orbit ( normally an orbit used by spy satellites, because of the shadow-advantages in such a helio-synchronous or Sunsynchronous orbit). Interestingly, the Crew Dragon spacecraft, was again equipped with the panoramic cupola attachment which also flew in September 2021. Thus far with entrepreneurs taking up the role of spaceflight participant, the official term for "space tourist", we have seen some amazing watches being flown-in-space (Audemars Piguet in 2009 and Richard Mille in 2021 to name a few), so checking out Fram2 footage might reveal some other wrist watches worn by the 4 spacefarers ! A few hours ago, SpaceX's Crew Dragon Resilience spacecraft completed its Fram2 mission with a safe splashdown. Chun Wang, Rabea Rogge, Jannicke Mikkelsen, and Eric Philip were on board and completed this completely private space mission in the Pacific Ocean after spending just over three and a half days in orbit. Shortly after splashdown, SpaceX's "MV Shannon" ship picked up the Resilience and its crew and transported them to the coast.

Poche ore fa la navicella spaziale Crew Dragon Resilience di SpaceX ha concluso la sua missione Fram2 ammarando senza problemi. A bordo c'erano Chun Wang, Rabea Rogge, Jannicke Mikkelsen ed Eric Philip, che hanno terminato questa missione spaziale completamente privata nell'Oceano Pacifico dopo aver trascorso poco più di tre giorni e mezzo in orbita.
