               vanessa's   startled   shriek and the following splash into the lake must've been heard all the way back in the mansion and would have been quite comedic for anyone within earshot. vanessa, however, was not laughing. she surfaced from the lake's surface, a lily pad on the top of her head and the undeniable blush of   embarrassment on her cheeks. ❝   very devilish of you, lady rachel,  ❞ she quipped as she swam back up to the wooden dock. ❝  could you help me back up?  ❞

          his   ears   buzz   from   weariness   &.   dehydration   .   green   eyes   begin   to   glaze   over   as   trauma   sets   in   .   he   misses   shirohana’s   response   .   he   doesn’t   miss   the   tip   of   a   needle   being   pushed   into   already   aching   skin   ,   however   .   reality   returns   as   the   FOG   OF   NEARING   UNCONSCIOUSNESS   dissipates   .   he   hangs   his   head   with   another   groan   .   this   time   he   bites   back   a   sharp   response   ;   his   tongue   aches   from   the   way   his   teeth   clamp   over   it   .   it’s   enough   of   a   distraction   .   by   the   end   ,   the   soldier   is   left   PANTING   SHALLOWLY   as   pain   ripples   sharply   from   the   freshly   sewn   wound   .   yuichiro   hates   ,   hates   ,   hates   this   !

ever since he became sakura’s meme dealer. he had to create two meme folders. one that she would understand with little to no explanation. and then the more advanced memes. the ones he’s more hesitant to share bc he’ll have to explain each and every detail that she notices.

when he cant explain he confidentially fakes it till he makes it. it helps that sakura trusts him and his meme knowledge

despite the constant teasing eiji does with how clumsy she can be, he goes full protect mode and stresses constantly bc WHY ARE YOU SO DANGEROUS TO YOURSELF. when she comes over while he’s streaming, eiji probably has to baby proof his gaming wires bc the poor girl will probably walk over with a glass of water in her hands and trip if he doesn’t take precaution

but lbr she trips over air and all eiji hears is this little startled squeak and then finds himself drenched with the water unu

you give me dog walks in the park. and i counter with…. eiji seeing the park exercise equipment and suddenly sakura finds herself on the pull up bar trying but failing to do the exercise properly. poor sakura is just dangling from the bar and eiji is standing there trying to be supportive but also recording the whole thing to upload later

we gotta work on those noodle arms that cant lift loaves of bread c’mon!!

personality and appearance wise they are complete opposites. their classmates can’t understand how they got along in the first place. but when they make random appearances in each other’s videos it all makes sense. they balance each other out and the viewer count significantly jumps up whenever word gets out that sakura is uploading a video or eiji is trying to stream a match.

                          spiders: does your muse squish bugs or put them outside?

                 depends on the bug! vanessa pretty much only has a fondness for butterflies ( her name also happens to be a genus of butterfly ) and dragonflies, and can even be a little tense and uncomfortable around spiders and more vermin-like bugs (roaches, ants, mosquitos, flies, etc.) and probably more likely to squish them if they get anywhere near her. pollinators that help her plants and the estate's plants grow can stay and are very appreciated!

                          failure: has your muse ever given up on an important dream?

                 the nightray family is primarily patriarchal and views only a trueborn son as being adequate enough to attempt to tame the beast raven to restore strength to the family's power. a female heir simply would not have the proper disposition for such a dangerous feat. even after time and time again, vanessa witnessed her father and brothers' failures, she still desired greatly to make her own attempt. she had dreams and nightmares about the demon bird, all fueled by her growing restlessness. in the middle of the night, a younger vanessa might even be seen sneaking down to the basement where the nightray's door to the abyss was held. she daren't get close, but by the little candle in her hand, she could sit and listen to the rhythm of dripping water and feel the immense energy that made the hair on the back of her neck stand on end. only barred from trying to tame raven because of her sex, she eventually begrudgingly accepted that she would never be able to try. EXTRA mad when gilbert was able to contract raven. 

                   a similar desire involves holding the nightray's black sword, the family heirloom given to each duke in a generation. though vanessa was older than elliot and had more than enough experience and drive, she was female and therefore not eligible to be named heir. she holds no ill will towards her baby brother, though, because he didn't ask for the huge burden that their father placed upon him. she’s content to try to guide him the best she could and in the way she thought was right, even if it was not what elliot believed in.
