Fluttershy slept peacefully the night of the event. She was dreaming about bunnies and otters. Outside her tree house Twilight, Applejack and Rarity met. There was only one they still had to meet with: Rainbow Dash.
“She aint gonna show,” AJ whispered. “We’d best go at it without her.”
“She’ll be here,” Twilight told them.
“We don’t need her for it,” Rarity commented.
“She’ll never do it,” AJ stated blunted.
Twili rolled her eyes, frankly tired of AJ’s negativity towards Dash’s involvement with the whole thing. She finally stomped a hoof lightly, leaves crunching under her hoof “Okay. What gives. Why are you so sure?”
“Don’t you guys see it with her?” AJ shook her head. “Dash is attracte-”
Just then they thought they heard someone. The three skittish mares rose on their hind legs and looked around.
I love the similarities to all these stories. The compare and contrast and the twists and turns, how they differ and how they are alike and how the characters are similar but how they are so different at the same time.
holy CRUD! Twilight is SCARY in “Fractured Loyalty.” Like scarier than the demon (Donatella). lol

Block Week: Mirrodin
Mirrodin, Darksteel, and 5th Dawn came out with a slew of unique cards, some of which are staples of EDH Decks today. With Krark Clan Ironworks, Lantern of Insight, and Skullclamp floating around, a few other cards slipped through the cracks. This week I’ll be unearthing quirky and interesting cards from the block.
First up: Fractured Loyalty. Printed before Auras were a thing, Loyalty has a strange red based effect that allows it to fit into a variety of builds.
Five color auras/Anax & Cynamede have many ways to target creatures. In auras you can throw this on an opponents creature then throw a Vow on it.
Burn decks can use it for utility too. They often don’t pack fatties or beaters, now you can expend a Shock to take control of it. Kamahl Pit Fighter can lightning bolt a creature to steal it.
The advantage this has is its off color abilities, and its low mana cost coming in as a two drop. Fractured Loyalty is a quirky little effect that can make a creature more of a free for all.
