"Tears of Ra" by Jaya Prime No.26 of 36 in the "Spectral Recursion" series - "For In and Out, Above, About, Below, 'Tis nothing but a Magic Shadow-Show, play'd in a box whose candle is the Sun, Round which we phantom figures come and go." ~Edward Fitzgerald's "Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam" - Thoughts: Inspired by the mandala works of @rottenpixels and @metaillusions, I went back and entirely re-envisioned the album art for my very first DJ set -- "Tears of Ra" (2001). I lost my own blood-father, the great Wolf Willie, in the summer of '06. While we sang together a few times, we never had the chance to collaborate. Then it was too late. Ricardo and his son Ari are both incredible masters in the art of the mandala, and in their own unique ways. Their collaborations take the art to an entirely different level, and that's really something special. - Incept: Formed using the fractals from the right and the left of this one, as well as the fractal directly above from next week. Total composition: 7 fractals, 5 mandalas, 2 deep dream filters @dreamscopeapp (Inception > Vortex), and at least 3 lazy errors. "The Golden Record" by Jaya Prime No.19 of 36 in the "Spectral Recursion" series - "Salutations to you who inhabits the distant skies." ~Persian, from "The Golden Record" - "Decide in your heart of hearts what really excites and challenges you, and start moving your life in that direction." ~Astronaut Chris Hadfield @colchrishadfield - Facts: No one knows the origins of the tradition of sealing messages in a bottle and then casting them out into the ocean. However, in 1977, the human species wrapped a message in a bottle and cast it out into the cosmic ocean, launched into space aboard the Voyager 1 probe. On any spacecraft, everything aboard it must be necessary, as the weight and size of all objects are all highly costly and possibly dangerous. Voyager 1 carries a gold-plated copper record, with drawings across its face as a schematic to construct a record player that will play the messages on the record. These messages were selected by Carl Sagan and his associates. They includes images as well as 55 messages in different languages. Hand-etched onto the surface of the record are the words: "To the makers of music -- all worlds, all times." On August 25th, 2012, Voyage 1 crossed the last reach of our sun and entered interstellar space, carrying our messages with it. Travel well, child, and safe journey. "Deep Space Dreamer" by Jaya Prime No.5 of 36 in the "Spectral Recursion" series - "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." ~Carl Sagan - Notes: I grabbed the shot from @NASA of Kepler-62e, the largest exoplanet that we've discovered so far. After adding it to a fanned PDJ fractal, I dreamed it thru @dreamscopeapp (Elves > Deco > Deco) before painting on a new layer of colors. - Facts: Of the 564 currently confirmed exoplanets, only thirty-two register as habitable. Eleven of these are strikingly similar to our own Terra: shape, size, and far enough from their star of origin to keep them from freezing and from burning up. Whether or not any of these are already inhabited remains to question.
