steve barely reacts to the loud noise of the falling hammer, his focus fixed on tony as the mechanic speaks. he truly believes that there was nothing more they could have done - they’d almost worn themselves down to the bone for the people they’d been trying to protect, and even if they hadn’t been entirely successful ( which, yes, was frustrating ), they couldn’t have done anything else to help the situation. “we’re still only human, tony.” some of them might be enhanced, but they were still human, and humans have limitations. “there’s nothing we could have done for them that wouldn’t have put our lives at risk more than they already were - and before you say something else, we can’t help those people or people who will need us in the future if we burn ourselves out now. we needed to take a step back and regroup.”

Jamie. He swore it wasn’t a fork. Really. He thought it was... not a fork? (In his defense, he hadn’t slept in a... very long time during this. Mycroft forced him to take a nap after that. (He didn’t.)) Who does the silly hands-over-the-eyes “Guess who” thing? They both do!! If Jamie does it, it’s usually followed by Jamie flopping onto Mycroft’s lap. If Mycroft does it, it’s followed by kisses. Who puts their cold hands/feet on their partner? Jamie. Mycroft still hates it. But he usually bats them away immediately. Who had that embarrassing Reality TV marathon? Mycroft. It’s terrible. Jamie doesn’t mind, usually just curling up next to him with a book. Who laughs more during sex? They both laugh pretty often during sex. At this point, they know each other so well, know each other’s bodies so well, sex isn’t something they take seriously. It’s fun. It’s enjoyable. WHO IS THE LITTLE SPOON? Jamie. He still fits so perfectly in Mycroft’s arms.

But after awhile, he bats him away, which only gets a smug grin from Jamie. Who had that embarrassing Reality TV marathon? Mycroft. He only put it on to grade papers and then he... never turned it off. And no grading got done. Who laughs more during sex? Jamie. Mycroft loves it. WHO IS THE LITTLE SPOON? Jamie. He fits so perfectly in Mycroft’s arms too.

zack is... not a tactile person. he’s used to people grabbing him for various reasons; to look at things, to hug when it looks like he might need one ( he rarely does ), to get his attention when his mind is rabbit-holing with math or reason and logic... but it doesn’t really make the contact any less startling when it happens. hodgins has been hanging onto his wrist for quite a while now, his grip tightening incrementally as he spoke about his beetles. “it’s okay.” he accepts the apology, his focus already on the beetles again as he rubs at his wrist. “why are they weirdly thin? they’re not weird, they’re mine.”

Their first impression of your muse: Mycroft thought Jamie was kind of a rude student. He never came to class and even when he did, all he did was read. So why bother coming at all if he wasn’t going to pay attention. Current impression: Mycroft thinks Jamie’s a brat. But in the most affectionate way. He loves him and he hates himself for it. But not enough to stop loving him, of course. Are they attracted to your muse?: Oh yeah. Something they find frightening about your muse: God, why doesn’t he find frightening about him? The way he feels about Jamie. for one. If it gets out, how it will blow up in his face? Something they find adorable about your muse: Those few times when Jamie finally sleeps and all of life’s hardships just fade away. He looks sweet and innocent and Mycroft loves it so much.
