• when or if I started shipping it: ok i cant remember the exact moment but… i think it was when i lucked into finding one of the cassettes back in like? 2010-2011ish? (most of the show was still lost at the time so all i really had to go off of was S1) but? i do remember rewatching it after realizing/accepting i was probably bi, so seeing lance Be Lance just made me go Hm.

Though the minute it clicked for real as Actually Mutual was in “Scared Stupid” when Bradley was all like “we’ll give you boys a call. ;))” when he was bragging over Totally Seeing That Scary Movie and i was like? SHOCKED

• my thoughts: Oh… You Know, but in all honesty? Lance and Bradley have such SHOCKINGLY GOOD comedic chemistry in general but like? the levels of just performative antagonism masking their desire to just be buddies is? weirdly charming and funny? esp when seemingly Everyone In Latchkey Can See It.

• What makes me happy about them: THEY BOTH HAVE NO BRAINS AND ITS HYSTERICAL (im actually Writing Something that hinges on that concept but. fingers crossed) but they do respect each other deep down and are pretty good foils in terms of like? Being the only two people besides their BFFS that can handle their Chaotic Stupid!

• What makes me sad about them: anytime lance says the word ‘pounding’ Realistically, neither of them would be able to like Do anything about how they feel for each other because Lance would have internalized homophobia out the ass considering his homelife, and… ok bradley trans real just in terms of accidental coding alone so like… he’d write off any actual feelings he has for him as just Leftover GirlBrain Disease and try to bury that shit so like… theyd be well into young adulthood before connecting the dots

• things done in art/fic that annoys me: this is a general complaint because No Gay Stickin Around Fic Exists Besides My Bullshit and one deleted fic i KNOW existed but made me super uncomfortable thanks to Weird Horny For Nine Year Olds With Bad Home Lives Kissing  but… no one can write Lance properly ever cuz they miss the whole “No One Ever Takes His Bravado Seriously” so like? bradley being full on scared of him and not just annoyed at best or uncomfortable at worst is OOC AF

• things I look for in art/fic: For It To Exist, first of all.

• Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Bradley and Stacey are gonna be platonic life partners and nbwlw/trans mlm solidarity no matter what but? honestly id go with maaaaaybe bradley/dill and lance/ashley? like if not with each other, i cant really… see them ending up with anyone else from Latchkey Gardens?

• My happily ever after for them: they finally just. become Friends for real but keep that weird one-upsmanship part of their friendship as everyone watches it slowly become flirting and collectively breathe a sigh of relief. also Lance learns to Think Before He Speaks and succumbs to the embarrassment of being allowed to talk like That for years without anyone saying anything

Clem and Duck are childhood friends and neighbors. Duck is a football player and not the brightest tool in the shed, but Clem helps him with his school work so he can stay on the team because he’s relying on a scholarship to even think of attending college. 

Clem babysits AJ for Rebecca and Alvin on date nights and whenever they both have to work and she’s available. When she starts dating Violet, Violet brings along Tenn so he and AJ can play games together while Vi and Clem watch a movie or something. 

Sarah and Louis would 1000% be great friends.
