WIP Whenever

I haven't had much time or inspiration to write recently - but I just binged two seasons of Interview with the Vampire and the one season of The Vampire Lestat in less than 48h, and i have FEELINGS about that series :D
So I'm opening a new WIP: Interview with the Dread Wolf, taking apart Solas' fucked up life, and especially his fucked up relationship with Mythal (: Let's see how far I get with it lol.
When the journalist sent by the New Arlathan Times arrives in his penthouse suite, he is standing in his favorite spot on the roof terrace with the Ironbark deck, old-fashioned robes billowing, contemplating, for the eight hundred and thirty third time, what it would feel like to jump and not catch his fall. Ever the coward, he turns, tutting at himself. What did she used to tell him ten and a half millennia ago, when she found him weeping on the expensively tiled washroom floor? Don’t be so dramatic, dear. The bitterness of an unwanted smile pinches his face, burdened by her crown. A crown with decidedly more “dramatic flair” than he ever sought to claim for himself. No matter. For better or for worse, it is showtime, in the current century’s parlance. Alas, so long as the music plays, we dance. Her words, not his. But he is going to find his own words today.
