Figured since it was the new year I'd freshen up my design a bit. Not many changes really besides proportion differences. Stands a bit taller, has a long body with shortish limbs. Also, changed the feet to stand digitigrade instead.
Added a sketch to show what mess I have to deal with when lining. I'm not really sure how I make sense of it...
some stickers I created for my business/ my daughters career day!
My Febuary Newsletter!
Greetings! This issue is all about what inspires me!
I love to read Graphic novels, play video/computer games, watch cartoons, & of course Draw! Illustration is something I have always been interested in and now I have decided that it will be my full time career! Your support really means a lot!
My favorite graphic novels are the Flight series, (There are seven in all.) They are books of illustrated short stories by various artist. If you haven't read one I highly suggest it, they are engaging and inspirational! If they were still making these I would love to get some of my work in them. (If you click on the image it will take you to the amazon link for book one.) The three artist that inspire me the most I found through reading these books.
Michel Gagné is a great special effects artist. He has also done work in Disney's Ratatouille, & Osmosis Jones. "The Saga of Rex" Is my favorite short story by him.
Reagan Lodge I love his style because of his use of high contrast line work. the way he uses thick and thin lines is inspiring.
Kazu Kibuishi I really admire how he tells a story. (This is a sample page for his Daisy Kutter book.) Click the image to go to his website to view more.
