— BASICS

faceclaim is lee seoyul (formerly known as lee gahyun/gahyeon of dreamcatcher). i will be using visuals from the justice era for her.

haeun was born in the year 2000. that makes her 26 years old!

i left a lot of her early years open for plotting specifically because i'm interested in getting some long lost childhood friends and/or relatives in her life. there's a high chance she won't remember them, though! as far as she is concerned, her life started when she woke up in fox form on school grounds at age six. she has vague memories from the Before Times™, of adults screaming and running away from her in horror when all she needed was to be loved. she's long decided to pay them no mind.

in fact, that's the gist of her character: she is independent, and will fight tooth and claw to keep her freedom. the more she thinks about being paired up with a witch, the more she hates it! of course, this is going to happen to her, and she's aware of it. she's simply living in denial until then.

as a familiar, haeun is a korean red fox. her magic can improve her witch's senses and help them keep a clear mind even in the face of danger, as well as enhance powers related to fire and/or hunting. haeun is an opportunistic predator; she will prey on smaller creatures by allowing them to tire themselves out first. this is the kind of partner she will be for her witch as well, one that stalks and waits before creating the perfect opportunity for her witch to strike.

as a human, haeun is bright and charming. i imagine she is popular for her perfectly curated looks, and that she takes pride in that. she probably helps students with lessons as a way to pay for her dues, since she's lived at the school basically her entire life.

speaking of! haeun is very thankful to the staff that's taken her in and raised her as their own. she is fiercely loyal to the few close friends she's kept over the years, and that probably includes a handful of faculty members too.

she is not lazy. she is simply efficient with her time and energy. if you call her lazy, she will bite you.

she smells of sweetened sandalwood, tastes like your favorite candy, and sounds like cheerful laughter and soap bubbles being popped.

i'd love to get her a best friend/partner in crime! most likely a familiar, or a witch she won't be bound to. haeun is smart and friendly, but she is also a free spirit at heart, and has a tendency to bend the rules with plausible deniability. i'm sure she's often found at the center of whatever mess is brewing among students.

i will also add here the little blurb for what i imagined her witch would be like. while i am totally down to plot out almost anything, i think having haeun be bound to the equivalent of the ice to her firey heart would be a fun dynamic and definitely something i'm very interested in!
