Kevin Cage of @spotlightsaga reviews... The Mick (S01E10) The Baggage Airdate: February 21, 2017 @foxtv Ratings: 2.378 Million :: 0.87 18-49 Demo Share Score: 8.75/10 ***********SPOILERS BELOW********** Poor Carrot, numbers 1 through god knows how many. Ben must be hugging those buggers pretty tight to create such a high body count (one our lovely Alba is ashamed of) and for them to not bite or struggle their way free has gotta mean that he's really loving those poor bunnies to death. The series seems to be hinting at Ben having seriously mental problems, and I will not refute that, no matter how adorable they really are... But Chip envisioning stabbing Dante in the ear repeatedly, those are just normal entitled rich boy visions he's having. I wouldn't look to deep into that. The show is fun and irreverent, but there is a definite dark side to it and I wonder if somewhere down the road that Ben's emotional trauma and maniacal behavior will be addressed in a serious manner, peppered with its usual dark-humor, A reviewer on IMDB (prepare for an influx of even more terribly written and ill conceived reviews after IMDB cancelled their long-running abomination of a message board) User: 'richkoop', (inventive, I know), says, "I understand every child needs to learn what death is about but even in comedy it can be handled with better taste." Now, TVShowTime is a sacred community and here we educate, not take cheap shots... But since this guy is on IMDB & we're on TVShowTime & SpotlightSaga, let me turn on a lightbulb for this genius. 'The Mick' works so well because it is so dark, and definitely in the realm & style of 'late night comedy'. That means nothing is off limits and the darker, the better... And the raunchier, limit-pushing comedy is welcome as well. Jimmy has been around for years, so even tho Mickey has come into some serious money, I can't help but think that all this other male attention she's getting had more to do with the moolah... Or you know, that whole FBI business, but there is a good chance that Mickey is the kind of unobtainable woman, who lives by her own rules, and therefore her 'milkshake brings all the boys to the yard'. It's hard to say. But either way, tonight's episode was black comedy at its darkest and I fully embrace 'The Mick trying on different hats and evolving as a show. IMDB user: 'richkoop' thinks that the show is running out of material, I think it's just getting warmed up. 'The Mick' is the best new comedy of 2017, we got quite a few months left to go in the year, but the bar has been raised extremely high.
