Calamity Co Dance in collaboration with Fresh Peach Dance will present Potluck: We'll bring the dance, you bring the salad: a dance-centric modern & pop variety show of works in various stages of progress by dancers, actors, musicians, comedians, film makers, with a focus on the multi-talented and collaborative efforts between forms. All audience members are invited to be part of our exchange as we dig into the economics of access around movement-based theater. Audience members will engage in direct conversation and creative dialogue surrounding the questions: "How is dance meaningful? What does it cost and what is it worth?" Before and after the performance, local artists and anybody else who wishes to share will come together to form a marketplace for attendees to trade ideas and goods.
" What a relief it is, what a glorious pleasure for a viewer, after sitting through so much unnecessary theater, to find oneself finally in the hands of an artist and master. In the case of The Shape of Something Squashed, those handsâdelicate and enormousâbelong to the great writer and director Tom Noonan. "-DMITRY ZVONKOV
