( 🐇 ) ❝ HEAD THE SIRENS. take shelter. flee the FIRE THAT DEVOURS. ❞ would this be the last time SHE'D SEE HIM ? perhaps.

AND IT HURTS all the more.

   「 . . . Can't say we didn't TRY , at least . 」  He's been desperately trying to give her something else to focus on in the early hours of the morning lately, but it seems they're both pretty terrible at keeping plants alive.

Mikhail huffs out a miserable sounding sigh. 「 I don't think I've ever seen this happen before . . . 」 He's really not cut out for these sorts of things, but with compassion comes a willingness to experiment.

   His thoughts seem to lull for a moment, poking at the mildrew ridden leaves. It's a bit of a predicament, really.  「 . . . Perhaps a different hobby would be beneficial to both of us . 」  It's a decision that he's pretty sure won't end up in DISASTER, simply because Mikhail is NOT about to drag her on his usual coping mechanism of 'shooting stuff 'til he feels better.' 

   Not that he doesn't think they wouldn't enjoy it, of course. He'd just rather they do something a little less... Taxing.

(    🐇   )                A SILENT LAUGH   escaped the veena as she regarded the rather sad looking plant that had all but died under their care.    between the two of them it had naught been possible    --   which shouldn’t be as hilarious as it was.    who would’ve thought that the two viera who,    possibly either long ago or semi   -   recently may have been doing such a thing for survival just cannot    KEEP PLANTS ALIVE  for the life of them.

SHE SMILES SOFT,   understanding as she reached out to give his shoulder a pat,    comforting and wishing him to know that he is not any lessor for the outcome to come about.    she was better when it came to hunting    (    and patience when it came to  fishing   )    moreso than dealing with plants or gardening.   had been the same when she was in her village,   though not much grew anyway due to    THE SNOWY CLIMATE.

      <      IT IS ALRIGHT.    do not put to much stock into it.    we can figure out something else to do that does naught have to do with trying to   KEEP PLANTS ALIVE.     >      another empathetic smile as she gently    nudges    him with her hip.

(    🐇   )                 SHE APPRECIATES IT.    even now as she stands in agony yet trying to pin it down deep.    it hurt to move let alone stand in place    -   the cracks on her skin that she tried to hide begging her to rest.    TO STOP.

BUT SHE CANNOT.

      <      THANK YOU.    BUT I    do not think i really have one    -    if i choose myself i would be spelling death to not just the people of the first but    .  .   all the shards    IN DUE COURSE    would i not    ?    >

   ❝ . . . Don't you ever get scared that you're gonna . . . I don't know , fall in ? ❞ Mikhail's eyes cast to the water. Grimaces. Hydrophobic. ❝ . . . Least the sky's a bit more . . . I don't know , forgiving . I dread to think what lurks under there , in the depths of the dark .  ❞

“No’ really-” Solana laughs softly, kicking her legs lazily over the edge of the dock as she perches on the edge with the confidence granted to someone who spent so much time on and around the sea.. “I mean, i’ve fallen in a few times, aye? but so long as y’ learn t’ swim right and y’ not out in the middle of the ocean alone, there’s really nothin’ to worry about~” The Au’ra shrugs, rolling one of her shoulders and casting her gaze down into the water- watching with delight as a small school of fish pass by close to the surface. “Sure th’ ocean can be a dangerous mistress an all tha’, but it’s also beautiful and warm. When you’ve lived around it as long as i have, it jus’ feels... kinda safe, mostly. so long as ya don’t go doin’ anythin’ overly reckless, of course.”

( 🐇 ) A SOFT WHINE escaped the veena's lips as her face pressed into her friends shoulder, absolutely miserable. she had been hungry and made a horrible decision - though truthfully she was curious but in the end did truly find out WHAT THE FISH from the void tasted like.

AT LEAST THAT ONE . .

A LOW RUMBLE of a groan falls past her lips now as she holds her stomach with a grimace, looking to mikhail IN A BIT of a dramatic manner.

❝ I - IF I D - DIE . . know t - that . . i was th - the one to eat y - your snack . . ❞ her expression betrays a playful air even THROUGH HER DISCOMFORT.
